How item swaps are calculated

Need a different desk, monitor, or cooler partway through your rental? You can swap an item on an active subscription without cancelling and starting over. Here's how a swap affects your billing.

Short version

When you swap an item, we move your subscription to the new item's weekly/monthly rate. Since you've already paid for part of the current billing period, the change is prorated — you only pay (or get credited) the difference for the days left in that period. Your renewal date and subscription stay the same.

Swapping to a higher-priced item

You pay the difference between the two rates, for the days remaining in your current billing period.

Example — you're 15 days into a 30-day cycle:

  • Current item: €40/month
  • New item: €60/month
  • Difference: €20/month → for the ~15 remaining days ≈ €10

You pay ~€10 to cover the upgrade for the rest of the period. From your next renewal, you're billed the full €60/month.

Swapping to a lower-priced item

You receive credit for the unused value of the item you're giving up.

Example — 15 days into a 30-day cycle:

  • Current item: €60/month
  • New item: €40/month
  • Difference: €20/month → for the ~15 remaining days ≈ €10 credit

That credit is applied automatically to your next invoice. From your next renewal, you're billed the full €40/month. Credit reduces what you owe next — it isn't refunded to your card.

Swapping to an item at the same price

No charge and no credit. The rate is unchanged — you simply receive the new item.

When does it take effect?

The billing change applies as soon as the swap is confirmed. Delivery and collection of the swapped items are scheduled separately.

FAQ

Does my renewal date change?
No. A swap keeps your existing billing date and subscription — only the item and rate change.

Can I swap more than once in a billing period?
Yes. Each swap is prorated the same way, from the day it happens.

What if I swap on my renewal day?
There's little or no proration — the new rate just applies to the new period.
