How to Setup
1. Unpacking
- Remove the PlayStation 5 console, DualSense controller, HDMI cable, power cable, and any rented game discs from the box.
- Place the console on a flat, stable surface with good ventilation.
- Connect the HDMI cable to your TV/monitor and the power cable to a wall outlet.
2. Setting up
- Turn on the PlayStation 5 using the power button on the front.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set language, Wi-Fi, and time zone.
Playing Games:
- Disc Games (Recommended):
Insert a rented disc and select Play as Guest or create a Local User (no sign-in needed).
- Your Own PSN Account (Optional):
If you have a PlayStation Network (PSN) account and want to play your own digital games, select Add User → Get Started → Sign In and Play and enter your PSN credentials.

Important Note:
If you sign in with your own PSN account, you must remove it before returning the console. Failure to remove your account will result in a $60 refurbishing fee.
How to Return
1. Remove Your Account (if you signed in)
- Go to Settings → Users and Accounts → Users.
- Select your profile and choose Delete User. Confirm deletion.
2. Prepare the Console
- Eject all rented discs and place them in their cases.
- Pack the PS5, controller, cables, and any rented accessories in the original packaging.
Important Notes
- Account Removal: Any personal PSN account left on the console will incur a $60 refurbishing fee.
- Missing Accessories: All original accessories and packaging must be returned to avoid extra charges.
- Report Damage: Inform us immediately of any damage or malfunction. Unauthorized repairs are not allowed.
- Modifications: Do not alter system settings beyond the basic setup or install unauthorized software.
